The weather is slowly warming up here in Oregon, and for us pet owners, that means one thing: flea and tick season. My dog loves to roam around outside, but I don’t relish the thought of her picking up nasty fleas and ticks that are not only bad for her health, but bad for the cats and the rest of the family as well.
Up until now, flea and tick prevention has been pretty expensive. Frontline has been the flea and tick preventative of choice, but it’s just flat out unaffordable for many pet owners during these economic times.
I’m pleased to tell you there’s a new, more affordable solution! Pet Armor, which contains the same active ingredients as Frontline, is now available at Walmart and Sam’s Club at roughly half the price of Frontline.
Pet Armor is available for both dogs and cats in two formulas. The regular Pet Armor contains fipronil, which kills fleas and ticks for 30 days. Pet Armor plus contains fipronil, as well as S-methoprene. The S-methropene stops the flea and tick growth cycle, so eggs and larvae can’t turn into fleas and lay more eggs.
Application is easy. Just apply to your dog or cat between the shoulder blades every thirty days, and be free of fleas and ticks as long as you keep using it!
I’m pretty excited that I won’t have to pay as much for flea and tick prevention anymore! With three pets, the cost sure can add up!
